Cult Clash Leaves 4 Persons Dead in Plateau

A suspected inter cult clash on Wednesday evening in Kwata Zawan in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State has left four (4) persons dead, according to the Nigeria Police.
In a statement signed and released by Mr Tyopev Matthias Terna, the Police Public Relations Officer, Plateau State Command today, Thursday, a copy sent to CityMirrorNews said the yet to be identified Cult Groups armed with cutlasses, axe and guns attacked themselves near a night club in Kwata Zawan.
Tyopev said that corpses of the victims have been deposited at the Plateau Specialist Hospital Mortuary for Autopsy.
According to him, “On the 02/01/2019 at about 1930hrs, the Plateau State Police Command, Jos received a distress call to the effect that unknown Cult Groups armed with cutlasses, axe and guns attacked themselves near a Night Club at Kwata Zawan in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.
“As a result of the attack, four (4) persons lost their lives. The corpses of the victim have been deposited at the Plateau Specialist Hospital Mortuary for Autopsy.”
The PPRO however said that the Commissioner of Police, Plateau State Command, CP Austin Agbonlahor has directed the immediate commencement of investigation into the crime with a view to bring the perpetrators to justice.
