Open Letter To Governor Gboyega Oyetola Of The State Of Osun
Open letter to Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the State of Osun
Dear Sir,
Governor Adegboyega Oyetola,
Executive Governor,
State of Osun.
It is with deep thought and concern I pick my low ink pen to write your office on my community interest. As an aspiring youth committing his resources to community service, I feel proud to be born in Ileogbo, the headquarters of Ayedire Local Government, State of Osun. Ileogbo is an household name not in political representation but frequently in community corporate and social responsibilities marks of her sons and daughters. Though, we’ve recorded a presidential aspirant from the past.
Your excellency sir, my epistle is not directed to challenge your good
office but to establish our emblem in connection with the popular
parlance “Don`t think of what government can do for you, but think of what you can do for the government”. Sir, you visited my hometown, Ileogbo last month to flag off the old Ileogbo –Iwo road volunteered for construction by a son of the soil, Engr. Tajudeen Adeleke. According to the agreement reached prior to your executive assent, the road is specified for international standard. We will convince to convince you more. Sir, we are happy to remind your Excellency of the commissioning of a first class free medical centre built by a daughter of Ileogbo, Dr. (Mrs.) Adeteju Ogunrinde scheduled for Saturday 13th April,2019 as contained in theinvitation letter extended to your good office. This is another unmatched record in the history of Osun and State of Osun. There are standard hospitals in Osun but is there free private standard hospitals? Sir, we are unique in complementing government’s efforts
at ensuring a better society in all spheres of life.
In the early 2000, ten (10) generational boreholes were donated by Dr. Akinade Akanmu Ogunbiyi. The boreholes were situated at strategic positions for easy accessibility irrespective of beneficiaries’ locations.
Recently at the tail end of last year, an Ileogbo born US based engineer, Semiu Odeyinka by name volunteered and donated solar street lights from the entrance to the exit of the town. Till date, Ileogbo is illuminated at night with the registered effort. Odeyinka equally donated four free charging points of many ports to Ileogbo.
The town established many social elites clubs that are seeing to quality health care, education and other acute infrastructures of her
people are provided. In education line, free extra mural lessons and
scholarship are annual convention. Though, not self-reliant but a step
ahead to ensure government’s trials are lubricated. Ileogbo Unity
Forum under the watch of Evangelist Remi Osuolale, Club Omega under
Alhaji Dele Ayanboye, Ileogbo Development forum by Alli Yaqub and many others are secondary actors in greasing government`s primary
commitment to quality education in Ileogbo. Few years ago, the former
Vice Chancellor of Tai Solarin University, Prof. Yemisi Obilade from Omoforilu compound, Ileogbo
awarded university scholarship to an indigent but brilliant student of
Ileogbo. Sir, Arepoponda Educational Trust fund was launched last two
years to benefit brilliant but financially disadvantaged students of
the ancient Ileogbo. We have paid for countless WAEC and NECO
candidates. Sometimes, we press the government to get what we want.
We are doing ours but we want more, the reason for my epistle.
To this end, I beseech the government of the State of Osun to assist us in assisting them in our exceptional complements
Thus;
-Register our sons and daughters who are technocrats with
administrative prowess into your cabinet. Ileogbo is blessed with few
of the best brains. We are well read and seasoned administrators. Name
the qualifications; we have it in all parties with utmost submission
to every ruling party. Inclusion of our fruits into your cabinet will
not only engineer an improved road map but will also establish Excellency in our service delivery in governance. Your excellency sir, a trial will convince you. We are trustworthy to be appointed and entrusted. To the glory of God, none of us has been enmeshed in any corruption charge. We are assembled as an upright being.
-In addition, that potholes in the heart of Ileogbo be addressed as
done in some other cities and towns of the state. It is our culture to fix potholes while approaching Ileogbo Day annual event. I appeal to the state government to extend the gesture to us in time.
Finally, I see a better future in the State of Osun and hopeful to witness the glory when it rises. And in my trance, Ileogbo sons and daughters will be contributors to the abundance. I’m hopeful God will use you for us.
Alli Ibraheem, Oladunwo Compound, Ileogbo, Ayedire Local Government, State of Osun.
