May Day: Yinka Olatunbosun Salutes Workers
By Jide Afolabi,
An All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain, Honourable Yinka Olatunbosun has saluted Nigerian workers especially, workers in Osun state on the occasion of this year’s Workers Day.
Olatunbosun who was a former aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ife East constituency said that their contributions to the growth and development of the state and country are immeasurable.
He said this in a press release personally signed by him today, Wednesday, noting that their welfare is paramount to the government.
“Our workers are great. The progressives government in the state ably led by Mr Gboyega Oyetola has demonstrated enough sincerity in its relationship with the workers.
“He has further shown this in adequate and prompt payment of salaries and allowances. His commitment to the payment of the new minimum wage is a testimony of a government that is people-centered” he said.
While appreciating the workers for their doggedness even when the economy of the state was not buoyant as a result of the downturn in the national economy, he noted that the Oyetola led government needs their support to deliver on its promises to the good people of the state.
“I beseech you to give maximum support to this government. The people’s governor has demonstrated the desire of the government to deliver on his promises, he needs your support” he stated.
He, however, urged workers to replicate this gesture by being more productive in order to move the state to the next level.
