By Jide Afolabi, Jos
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced that the rerun election for Tudunwada/Kabong ward in Jos North Local Government Area will hold on Saturday, March 9, 2019 concurrently with the Governorship and State Assembly elections.
The House of Representatives election for Jos North/Bassa Constituency which was held last Saturday was declared inconclusive due to the cancellation of results collated from Tudunwada/Kabong ward as a result of over-voting.
The result was not announced until yesterday, Thursday at the Jos North collation centre at Jos North LGA complex according to the collation officer, Prof Francis Paide.
He said that the cancelled ward has 92, 234 registered voters which is higher than the difference between the first and second parties with highest votes.
