2019: A Year Of Critical Decision, Hope-Akere
The Action Democratic Party (ADP) House of Representatives candidate for Ila Federal Constituency, Oluomo Sunday Akere has described the New Year 2019 as a year of critical decision making for Nigerian masses as they are faced with the choices of who to elect into positions of authority in the coming elections across the country.
This is contained in a New Year message issued by Oluomo Sunday Akere and made available to newsmen in Osogbo on January 1, 2019.
The release disclosed that the last four years has thrown up new challenges that demand nightmarish search for credible individuals to elect into public office with a view to restoring the country’s fading greatness.
He said Nigeria would be great if followers and leaders put the interest of the nation above personal interest, saying it is time for the electorates to look beyond money in deciding those who steer the wheel of the country to greatness.
Oluomo Akere, while seeking the support of the electorates in Ila, Ifedayo and Boluwaduro Local Government Areas, stressed his readiness to make live better for the teeming populace of the area if elected to represent them at the green chamber during the February 16 2019 poll.
He charged the indigenes and residents of various communities in the federal constituency to make the coming elections violent-free so that their votes could count and also avoid loss of lives and properties.
Oluomo Akere also called on the teeming populace of the state to always ensure that peace and harmony that exist in the state is not compromised for the ambition of any politician or the political class.
“While wishing the people a happy and prosperous new year, it is also pertinent to remind you all of the importance of a violent-free election as 2019 is an election year, hence, we should thread the path of peace.
We must have in our mind the interest of the country above individual interest and as such make our decision based on the love for our nation, hence, 2019 election should not be based on material gain but the progress and development of Nigeria.
