Easter: K-Rad Congratulates Christians, Urges Them To Imbibe The Spirit Of Love, Endurance As Exemplified By Jesus Christ

A leading aspirant in the upcoming September 22nd gubernatorial election in Osun state, Barrister Kunle Adegoke, has called on the people of Osun to show love to one another, live in peace and harmony in this period when the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is being celebrated.

In a statement released by his media office on Saturday evening in Osogbo and personally signed by him, the seasoned administrator described the easter period as a period to reflect extensively on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and apply the lessons therein to their day to day activities.

“As we join our Christian brothers and sisters to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we want to urge our people to imbibe the spirit of love, endurance and selflessness among other traits that were exhibited by Jesus Christ at the point of death and apply same to our daily activities ” the statement noted.

The Osogbo born politician noted that it took an uncommon love and high level of forgiving spirit for Jesus to die for the sins of other people and still forgive his tormentors for people to be saved.

“It is time to rejoice and be glad indeed. Yet, it is also a time to be sober and reflective, with a view to drawing from the lessons taught by the season.

“No matter the travails we go through, perseverance is enjoined. We should not lose hope at any point in time. God who is capable of raising the dead is ever capable of righting a seemingly hopeless condition.

“No matter the trials, we should avoid despondency. We should avoid any form of unlawful way-out.

“As exemplified by Christ, the reason for the season, we should all imbibe the spirits of tolerance and forgiveness in all our endeavours.

He urged the people of Osun to renew their strength and faith on the need to take our country and our state in particular to an enviable height among the comity of States in line with the ongoing efforts of Ogbeni Aregbesola and the ideology of our great party, APC.

The governorship hopeful then used the peculiarity of the Easter season to pray for more growths and developments of the state just as he enjoined them to be peaceful and moderate as they celebrate
