Police Arraign 23-Year-Old Man Over Alleged Theft Of Cat Fish In Osun

A 23-year-Old Man, Abiodun Olasunkanmi has been arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrate court for allegedly stealing large Quantity of cat fish from fish pond valued at N800,000.

Police arraigned Olasunkanmi on Monday before Magistrate O. A Oloyade on a count charge bearing on theft.
The prosecutor Inspector Fagboyinbo Abiodun told the court that the defendant committed the offense on April 25 at about 5.30am at Rinsayo area in Osogbo.
Abiodun explained that accused who was a worker at the fish pond stolen large quantity of cat fish from the pond.
According to him the cat fish valued at 800,000.
He added that the offense is contrary to and punishable under section 390 (9) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume 11.Laws of Osun State 2003.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the allegations leveled against him.
The Defense Counsel, Barrister Okobe Najite pleaded to court to grant his client bail in the most liberal and affordable terms.
The magistrate Mrs O. A Oloyade granted the defendant bail of 500,000 with two sureties in the like sum.
She said sureties must sworn to affidavit of means and provide evidence of tax payments with three passports photography.
The case was adjourned till May 21 for hearing.
The accused was remanded in Ilesha prison custody when he could not perfect his bail conditions.
