APC Will Weep In 2019—–Olaniyan
By Our Correspondent ,Ibadan
The leadership of the ruling party (APC) and its members would weep bitterly as indications emerged that they have lost their goodwill with the masses as buttressed by the recent open letter of former President Olusegun Obasanjo to President Muhamadu Bihari ,a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State Engineer Abiola Idowu Olaniyan has predicted.
Olaniyan , a Senatorial aspirant said this in Ibadan on Monday while speaking on the state of the nation stressed that what Baba Obasanjo said represented the position of most right thinking members of the public adding “the voice of the people is the voice of God,”
“You can see the reaction of the Presidency to Baba Obasanjo’s open letter. The response of the Information Minister which was politely written was an admission of the facts contained in that letter.May God keeps the man more for Nigeria he prayed.
Olaniyan said that the spirit of camaraderie shown by the incumbent and former President at the ongoing 30th African union Summit in Adissbaba, showed that they have both displayed patriotism for their fatherland.
He however pointed out that the former President was unaware that the PDP which he left in annoyance is now a born again party with internal democracy, discipline and unity now put in place.
Olaniyan said that the claim of Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State that what was happening in the state has never been experienced before was true to some extent stressing that it has not happened for lecturers of state owned tertiary institutions to suffer non payment of salaries like this.
“It has not happened for lecturers of LAUTECH to be out of work for many months .It happened with his government .It has never happened for a monarch to be undeservedly embarrassed like in this regime. Many workers are being oppressed,he alleged.
The politician wanted the masses to unanimously admit that the change which was promised by APC was a mere deceit adding that the masses should take their destiny in their hands by voting out bad government at the appropriate time.
Olaniyan urged the leadership of PDP to sustain the existing peace in the party stressing that if the aspirants allow discipline and internal democracy, defeat of APC was almost a foregone conclusion.
