Osinbajo Charges Women On Periodic Self Assessment
Wife of the Vice President, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo has charged Nigerian women to adopt periodic self evaluation on their level of all round development for possible adjustment.
Speaking at a 2-day National Women’s conference organised by Osun Officias’ Wives Association in Osogbo Tuesday, Osinbajo stressed the importance of self assessment as catalyst to development.
Mrs Osinbajo who spoke on the theme of the conference: “Virtuous Woman: Pushing for Greater Development”, noted that women are supposed to be harbinger of virtues that are worthy of emulation by their children and the society at large.
The wife of the Vice President lamented the recent abduction of school girls in Your State blaming the occurrence on moral decadence in the society.
In their goodwill messages, Governors Abiola Ajimobi and Rauf Aregbesola of Oyo and Osun States respectively stressed the importance of women to national peace and development.
Aregbesola who titled his message ‘the hand that rock the cradle is the hand that rule the world’ urged women to be alive to their motherhood responsibility and make it primary to build a nation of God fearing people.
He coordinated special prayers for the return of the Yobe state abducted school girls at the workshop, describing the abduction as extremely painful.
Alhaja Sherifat Aregbesola who hosted the conference charged participants to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the 2-day National Conference.
