Oluwo Endorses Osun SSG As Aregbesola’s Successor

The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Absulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu II has endorsed the candidature of Secretary to Osun State Government (SSG), Alhaji Moshood Olalekan Adeoti as the next governor to succeed Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola come November this year.

Oba Akanbi who described Adeoti as an upright, mature politician with vast experience and understanding to succeed Aregbesola said that should he (Adeoti) clinched the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at primary, he was ready to canvass for votes for him ahead of the September 22nd governorship election in the state.

The monarch who made the remarks at his palace in Iwo when Alhaji Adeoti and his supporters stormed the palace for royal blessing shortly he submitted his letter of intent to contest the September 22nd governorship election in the state maintained that he had known the aspirant for a long time and had worked and suffered for the party.

Oba Akanbi said Alhaji Adeoti had been patiently complied with the directives and rules of the party and had never leave the progressives party for once.

The traditional ruler who expressed optimism that he wish Adeoti clinches the ticket of the APC at the primary stressing that he would not hesitate to come out and canvass for votes for him.

He therefore prayed for Adeoti that all his heart desire shall be granted by Allah and stressed that the developmental programmes of the current administration must continue and that shall be accomplished through Adeoti in the saddle of the state.

Earlier, the entire Iwo town had stood still for Adeoti when he stormed the ancient town for seek Oluwo’s blessing over the governorship ambition.

Adeoti and his supporters in hundreds had stormed Oluwo’s palace asking the monarch to bless.

While addressing the gathering at Iwo, Alhaji Adeoti said he visited the palace for royal blessing before embarking on electioneering campaigns stressing that he had been in the progressives party for long.

He said he offered himself to succeed Aregbesola in order to continue the good works that the current government has done adding that he is a candidate to beat in the coming gubernatorial election.

According to him, “look at the calibres of party’s chieftains that come to Iwo with me. I am candidate to beat in the coming gubernatorial election, I only need the blessing of Oluwo and that is why we are here today.
