Guber Aspirant,  Oyetola Meets OPF, Promises Even Development

The All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer in the September  22, gubernatorial election in Osun state, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola has promised to superintend broad development if elected,  as he met with teeming members of Osun Positive Force (OPF), a leading socio-political group in Osogbo,  the Osun State capital.

Oyetola, who is the incumbent  Chief of staff to Governor Rauf Aregbesola pledged to consolidate on the outstanding achievements of the administration,  if eventually succeeds at the polls.

He commended  the efforts of the group and entire members of APC during the just conducted primary, adding that  he would not disappoint them.

Oyetola asserted that he possesses the requisite credentials to sustain the giant strides of the current administration in the state, stating that  his governorship ambition was a God own project, hence the need for the members of the group to give him total support so as to be able to accomplish his aim.

He praised  Governor Rauf Aregbesola for his transformation drive,  describing him as an enigma and most creative in the history of Osun State.

“I seek your hands in partnership as flag bearer of our party, I want to build on the giant strides already made by the current administration of Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola.

“Having been a privileged member of the team that has brought the current transformation our state has witnessed these past seven and a half years, I know what the issues are.

“I know what our people need is an agenda of continuity and revitalization that will deepen the current gains in infrastructural development”, Oyetola said.

He thereafter, urged members of the OPF who are yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards to do so and sensitise other people in their immediate environment to collect their PVC, saying that is the only tool they can use to vote for continuity.

In his remarks, the founder of the group who also doubles as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Ajibola Basiru appreciated God for making it possible for a competent candidate like Oyetola to emerge.

He said” We are happy because God answered our prayers, the last time we met here, less than two weeks ago, all of us collectively resolved to work and support the emergence of Alh. Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola as flag bearer of our great party, APC ,and God has assisted us to perform excellently well such that the margin between our aspirant and other aspirants is so wide than the distance between East and West, we give thanks to God.

“We also give thanks to God for the success of the  direct primary; all the logistics problem was surmounted and without any hitch  in all the 332 wards, this is also a credit to our party and for the members and leaders of Osun Positive Force OPF.

“In addition,  we  thank God that majority of our aspirants,  who did not make it at the primaries have come back to accept the  verdict of the party and pledged their supports as well.

“We heartily  thank them and we pray that God will be with them as they continue to support the efforts of the party”.

He however  urged members of OPF to start canvassing for Oyetola so as to ensure his victory at the polls.
