Birthday Party Turns Bloody In Ondo, Two Hospitalized
Two persons were said to have been hospitalized at the weekend following injuries sustained during a bloody clash at the venue of a birthday party in Ondo, headquarters of Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
It was gathered that the incident led to the arrest of two persons suspected to be the masterminds of the clash.
Findings by CityMirrorNews revealed that a 25-year-old woman identified as Bumi Akinlotan organized a birthday party and it was attended by two of her boy
friends who eventually attacked each other.
According to a source close to the police, the ceremony held at a popular hotel in the town and well attended by youths turned bloody when the two boy friends of the celebrant engaged in verbal assualts.
The source hinted that the celebrant invited the two men to the ceremony not knowing that they would identify themselves as rivals.
Trouble started when the celebrant was invited to dance and insisted that only Solomon Endurance who reportedly financed the ceremony should dance with her.
This however spur the anger of the other boyfriend whose name was given as Olaniyi Ososanmi as he insisted to dance with the celebrant.
Ososanmi was said to have vowed to cause pandemonium by disrupting the
celebration.
Few minutes later he was said to have reappeared at the venue of the birthday party with broken bottles and allegedly stabbed his rival on the neck.
While confirming the incident, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Enuowa police station, Mr Isinkaye Simon said two persons including the celebrant have been arrested.
The police boss informed that the victims who sustained serious injuries are now receiving treatment at the state Trauma Centre, Ondo.
He however said the suspects would soon be arraigned immediately investigation is completed on the matter
