The Osun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday described the christening of the 2019 appropriation as a “budget of hope” as confirmation of the hopeless situation the APC under the watch of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, left the state after 8 years.

The party in a press statement issued and signed by its chairman, Hon. Soji Adagunodo, a copy which was made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo.

Adagunodo said PDP and people should commend Oyetola’s sincere assessment of the Osun hopelessness under APC/Aregbesola’s misrule for eight years in a government Oyetola was actively involved.

“While acknowledging the contributions of Oyetola about the hopeless state of Osun, despite that he served in that administration as Chief of Staff, a post described by Aregbesola as ‘engine room’, we however appreciate the departure from the self denial that brought the state to this quagmire, ” Adagunodo said.

The PDP chairman then called on the people not to be decieved by “the false hope in the budget, because a man who was the engine room of the hopelessness cannot give any hope.”

Adagunodo, also wondered where the state that has about N5b debt to pay monthly will get over N150B to execute the budget.

He however called on the people of the state to keep praying that their stolen mandate that freely given to Senator Ademola Adeleke would be restored soon so that genuine hope can be given to the people of the state

“What is hope in not paying salaries as at when due? When has payment of salaries become a privilege ?Adagunodo queried.

He continued, “Oyetola should also note that the people of Osun have been made to pay for Aregbesola’s prolifigacy through excessive taxation, neck breaking levies and dues. He warned that “Oyetola should not add to their burden by introducing more taxes because when Osun had enough, the common man did not feel the impact.”

The PDP chairman also assured the citizens of the state that the real hope will emerge when the people’s mandate is restored and that the genuine hope can then be the portion of the people.
