Breaking: Oyetola Presents Inaugural 2019 Budget of N152b

Osun state governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola today, Thursday presented his inaugural 2019 budget titled “Budget of Hope” to the states House of Assembly.

The budget with total sum of 152, 756, 088, 830. 00 (One Hundred and Fifty Billion, Seven Hundred and Fifty Six Million, Eighty Eight Thousand, Eight Hundred and Thirty Naira Only) according to the governor, the budget is, “designed to further strengthen and pursue the policy thrust and the enduring legacy of immediate past administration and to consolidate and sustain the myriads achievements so far recorded in every sector for the transformation of our dear State and the delivery of prosperity to all.”

The governor promises civil servants in the state that payment of modulated salary structure has become a thing of the past as he is ready to pay full salary to all categories of workers.

The budget has a revenue projection of 150, 298, 379, 030. 00 with personnel cost amounting to 24.18 per cent, 36, 928, 416, 810. 00, other recurrent cost 15, 870, 175, 600. 00 representing 10.49 per cent while total capital expenditure is 91, 957, 496, 420. 00 representing 65.43 per cent.

Infrastructure has the highest budget of 24, 929, 917, 120.00 representing 27.11 per cent with education sector gulping 10, 447, 801, 800. 00 amounting to 11.36 per cent.

Meanwhile, the 2019 budget presented was lower by 27 billion naira to current 2018 budget of the immediate past governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
