Osun APC Primary: Leader Irewole North-East LCDA, Owoade Congratulates Oyetola
The State Coordinator, Youth Solidarity, Osun state chapter, Hon Ademola Owoade has congratulated the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Osun, Mr Gboyega Oyetola on his victory in the recently conducted primary election as the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer for the September 22 gubernatorial election in the state.
Owoade in a congratulatory message he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Wednesday said, Oyetola’s emergence as the flag bearer of APC is an indication that the members of the party are determined to sustain the good legacy of Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
Owoade who is the leader, Irewole North-East LCDA appreciated the party members in the area for trooping out em mass to cast their vote for Oyetola who he described as an administrative stabilizer.
The Irewole North-East leader applauded the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for adopting direct primary system for the recently conducted primary in the state, saying the option has helped in choosing a credible, suitable and a popular choice for the party.
He, however, congratulated Governor Rauf Aregbesola for having a visionary leader whom he said has tapped from his wealth of experience as his his successor, saying the good legacy of Aregbesola would continue ,with the emergence of Oyetola.
” Oyetola’s emergence as the party flag bearer would guarantee continuity of Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s good work in Osun. He has worked with him for over seven and half years and he knows and understands what the good governance is all about and how to go about it”.
Oyetola’s emergence as the APC flag bearer is not by proxy. He is a well grounded administrator, do you want to talk about his level of meekness and humility, level of sincerity and loyalty which remains till date immeasurable, his unassuming posture and strong dedication to duty which makes tower above all political functionaries
He is an administrative stabilizer, yet not lousy and known for any flamboyance whatsoever despite his influence and affluence.”
Expressing optimism that the newly elected APC candidate would emerge victorious in the coming gubernatorial election slated for September 22, this year, Owoade said” that the urbane technocrat- turned-politician would successfully carry the state to the promised land”.
“I also want to commend the decision of the National Working Committee of our party in settling for the direct election mode for Thursday’s primary. Direct primary helps in throwing up a credible, suitable and a popular choice.
“Osun has set pace which other will follow . The direct system will reduce the fear of delegates inducement by aspirants and also give people opportunity to involve in the selection of their candidate.
“For a fact, indirect primary negates the democratic credentials upon which a progressive party like ours thrives.
Owoade who assured the party and its flag bearer for the coming gubernatorial election of all round of support said the people of the LCDA are ready to vote for continuity.
He therefore, charged those who are yet to collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to go and collect it in order to be able to exercise their civil responsibility
