Osun 2018: PDP Chairman, Adagunodo, Charges Party Members To Sustain Tempo Of Grassroots Campaign
Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Hon Soji Adagunodo has charged party members and supporters to intensify the on going aggressive House to House campaign in all the 3,010 polling units in the State.
Adagunodo gave the charge today at the Ademola Adeleke campaign office while addressing Party chairmen and selected leaders drawn from all 30 local governments and Ife East Area office ahead of the commencement of public campaigns.
According to the party chairman, the September 22nd Governorship election is so crucial to the State that all well meaning members and supporters of the party must become automatic canvassers for the PDP.
He stressed the need for party leaders and members at all units to reach all potential voters in their wards before the day of the election.
Adagunodo said committees of the party are to be localised for greater effectiveness and efficiency.
The PDP chairman urged all chairmen to familiarise themselves with the party manifestoe which is a summary of the needs of the people of Osun state and the pragmatic solutions which the party is prepared to offer when elected into office.
He said the manifesto has been translated into the 3 major Nigerian indigenous languages for wider reach to people at the grassroots.
While describing the Governorship candidate of the party, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke as a man of immense capacity and goodwill, Hon Adagunodo said Osun will not regret voting for the PDP on the 22nd of September.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Director general of the Campaign organisation, Akogun Lere Oyewunmi said the PDP has an antecedent that the people of Osun state can leverage on for better dividends of democracy.
He said the next three weeks is very crucial to the success of the party in the September elections and must be well utilised for effective one-on-one campaign.
Oyewunmi disclosed that the campaign of Senator Ademola Adeleke for Governor is being daily embraced by multitude of Youths, Women, workers, professional groups and other categories of voters in Osun state who have been disappointed by the heartless government of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
