From Abiodun Ogunrinde, Ibadan
The Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Moses Alake-Adeyemo has said that the Oyo state government is committed to establishing cattle ranches to solve the problem of persisting crisis between Fulani herdsmen and farmers.
Otunba Adeyemo disclosed this yesterday while featuring on a radio programme monitored by CityMirrorNews correspondent.
He said Governor Abiola Ajimobi is on a trip to Denmark to acquire more information as regards ranching of cattle so as to use the experience in tackling herdsmen farmers crisis.
“It is the consent of all governors especially the federal government to make sure we find a solution to Fulani herdsmen and farmers conflict which has grown to the extent of losing lives everyday” he added.
“Going to Denmark by my boss is to learn more about what is happening in other countries of the world” he said
On his ambition to succeed his boss, Alake stated that he is the most qualified governorship aspirant from Oke-Ogun to succeed Ajimobi in next year’s gubernatorial election.
“As far as experience is concerned, I have all that it takes to be the next governor of Oyo state” he said.
