APC National Convention: Osun SSG, Adeoti Congratulates Oshiomhole, Others
A governorship hopeful on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and incumbent Secretary to the Government of Osun, Alhaji Moshood Olalekan Adeoti has congratulated Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and other newly-elected members of National Executive Council of the party on their emergence at the national convention held on Saturday.
This was contained in a special congratulatory message signed on his behalf by the Director of Media and Publicity of Moshood Adeoti Campaign Organisation (MACO) in Osogbo, the state capital, Mr Kayode Agbaje.
According to him, Alhaji Adeoti poured encomiums on the members of Organising Committee of the party convention for the peaceful conduct of the event, devoid of any rancour usually expected from events of such magnitude.
“Members of the convention organising committee should be commended for the peaceful conduct of the event and the outcome.
“Same goes for the members of the party for maintaining law and order while the whole exercise lasted,” Alhaji Adeoti stated.
He then charged the newly-elected leadership of the party to continue in the task of holding the party together, most especially at this crucial period.
“I however want to charge the newly-elected members of the National Executive Council of our great party to continue relentlessly in the arduous task of holding the party together, mostly especially at this crucial period with the 2019 general election just around the corner,” Alhaji Adeoti further advised.
The Osun governorship aspirant further charged the party leadership in Abuja not to be swayed by the unwarranted noise of the opposition parties in its determination to take the party to the promised land.
“The challenge before you now is not the unwarranted noise made daily by the opposition parties, therefore you should not be swayed.
“The main challenge is how to ensure victory for the party in the fast-approaching 2019 general elections, which is just around the corner,” Alhaji Adeoti further charged.
He also admonished all members and supporters of the party nationwide to continue to pray and support the party, most especially, President Muhammadu Buhari, in the task of building a new Nigeria.
“The ongoing anti-corruption crusade of the Federal Government should be appreciated by all lovers of the Nigerian Project,” Alhaji Adeoti emphasised.
While wishing the newly-elected national executive leadership successful tenure in office, he further advised them to continue to maintain neutrality in all their dealings with issues concerning party members.
