African Day: ECOWAS Youth Council Charges African Leaders On Provision Of Qualitative Education, Good Health Care

The African youths under the aegis of ECOWAS Youth Council on Friday urged African leaders to intensify efforts to provide African women and children a better access to education.

The youths also enjoined them on the need to ensure provision of health care service.

ECOWAS Youth Council made the appeal in a in a press statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Amb. Smith Oladapo Ikumapayi and made available to CityMirrorNews in Lagos.

While charging the African leaders to give priority to the welfare, the youths however appealed to them on the to give rooms for women and youths in governance to as to accelerate Africa’s transformation.

According to the statement, “We hereby call on African leaders to intensify efforts to provide Africa’s women and children with better access to education, and healthcare, also give rooms for women and youths in governance to accelerate Africa’s transformation

“This feet was achieved as a result of determination and unity of our untiring founding fathers.”

“As we commemorate their efforts in celebration and gratitude for the sacrifices rendered, it is incumbent on us as young African people with common purpose to strive for the development of Africa towards “economic” liberation and Independence.”
