Oyo 2019: Oke -Ogun Wants Chief Adebayo Adelabu to Contest Gov Election

As the 2019 general elections gathered momentum, a Socio- Political Group, Oke -Ogun People’s Alliance has called on Chief Adebayo Adelabu to contest the Oyo state governorship election.
The group which is affiliated with Student Artisans, Traders and Market women converged at Saki Parapo City Hall to made the call on Adelabu to come and use is wealth of experience in the banking sector to govern the pace setter State.
Chief Adelabu is the grandson of late political icon, Chief Adegoke Adelabu popularly known as Penkalemesi.
According to the group, chief Adelabu had contributed greatly to security and educational development of the state through his position in the Banking sector.
Various speakers who spoke at the programme said Adelabu is an experienced and vibrant politician with vision and tactics that can help to compliment the good work started by Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
They said the Ajimobi’s administration has put Oyo state in his pace setting status in terms of rural and infrastructural development, hence the need for a knowledgeable person to succeed the incumbent government come 2019.
In his remarks, the Coordinator of the group, Comrade Abdulramon Adesope said the philanthropic gesture of Adelabu was noted in every nook and cranny of the state despite not holding any political post.
Adesope said they decided to support the aspiration of Adelabu because of the passion he has for humanity and less privilege in the state.
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oke-Ogun, Dr. Hammed Ayinla said the call to service by the group showed that Adelabu is one of the noticeable personalities among his equal.
Others in their good will messages said Adelabu is one of the candidates that will continue with the good work of the incumbent Governor.
The group declared that it will foot the bill for the purchase of Adelabu Intention Form once he hearkens to their call to services
Present at the occasion was High Chief Abdulrosheed Adegoke, the Bagii of Sakiland, members of the political class as well as some sons and daughters of the land.
It will be recalled that similar solidarity meeting was held at Mapo Hall in Ibadan where prominent Sons and Daughters in Ibadan pledged their total support to the aspiration of Chief Adelabu come 2019.
This similar meeting is also expected to be held in Ibarapa, Oyo, Ogbomoso and other zones in the state.
Adelabu is an industrialist, prudent banker, a strategist and philanthropist of note.
