Man, 31, Arraigned For Stealing In Osun

A 31-year- old man, Ayoola samuel was on Monday arraigned before a Magistrate court sitting in Osogbo, the Osun State capital over an alleged stealing.
Ayoola was said to have committed the offence on October 20, 2018 at Halleluyan area, Osogbo.
The police prosecutor, Asp Abiodun Fagboyinbo had told the court that the suspect stole one Tecno phone, value at N25,000.00 property of Akintunde Funmilayo
Fagboyinbo further explained that the suspect apart from Tecno phone he was also alleged to have stole one itel Android phone valued at N22, 500.00 , one Techno phone valued N10,00.00 and a sum of N2,500.00 property of one Olapade Olabamiji
He added that the suspect also assaulted Tijani Ismail by injuring him with razor blade on his hand.
Prosecutor said the the alleged offence was contrary to and punishable under Section 390 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol 11 Law of Osun state, Nigeria 2003.
But the accused person pleaded not guilty to a five-count charge of stealing, assault among other allegations slammed against him.
Defence Counsel, Mr Tunbosun Oladipupo applied for the bail of the accused person in the most liberal term
Oladipupo said that the suspect is still presumed innocent until contrary is proved by a court of law.
He assured the court that his client would not jump the bail if granted , adding that reliable sureties would stand for him
Ruling, Magistrate Fatimat Sodamade ordered that the accused person be remanded in custody at Ilesa prison.
She thereafter adjourned the case till 22 Nov , 2018 for mention at court 4.
