Adeleke University Holds Memorial Lecture For Sen Adeleke
Adeleke University (Ede) in Osun on Monday held its First Annual Memorial Lecture for late Sen. Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke .
The event witnessed dignitaries from all facet of life to include Political Associates , Traditional rulers, Religious Leaders, Family members and Friends .
The Guest Speaker, Prof. Micheal Omolewa, who spoke on the visionary ideals of the late Adeleke described the deceased as a philanthropist , patriot, nationalist and friend of the people which other political associate must emulate.
Omolewa said that Adeleke was someone who never gave up on his dreams to serve despite the challenges in his political career.
“His life taught the world a lesson and his leadership style was an important lesson to leaders of all ages.
“He had solid foundation benefitted from an inheritance, the legacy of his father from whom he learnt lesson of success and fruitfulness. ” Omolewa said.
The guest speaker said owing to the late Senator’s love and passion for Education, he was instrumental to the fast and smooth take-off of Federal Polytechnic Ede, after Gen. Ibrahim Babangida approved it.
The Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba Adedotun Abolarin, , said Adeleke was someone who respect traditional institutions and promote youth empowerment during his life time .
He added that the deceased was a bridge builder whose contributions was unparalleled by most of his contemporaries and he added that the philanthropist would forever be remembered for his good works.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Adeleke University (Ede) , Prof. Samuel Alao, praised the guest speaker for a well detailed lecture on leadership ideals of the late Sen. Adeleke.
Alao, however, enjoined other leaders from the political sphere to emulate the leadership qualities of late Isiake Adeleke.
