Osun Monarch Tasks Religious Groups To Sue For Peace, Unity in The Society

The Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa, Oba Oluwafemi Agunsoye has called on Christians to continue to sue for peace and unity in the society.
The traditional ruler gave this admonition when the executives of the Bible Society of Nigeria, Ijesa proposed Area paid him a courtesy visit at the palace on Tuesday.
He expressed his happiness that the Bible Society comprises of the different Christian denominations, describing it as a good development as there can only be progress in their oneness.
The monarch further pledged his support for the body in mobilising his subjects to support the building of a befitting edifice for their use in Ijebu-Jesa.
Speaking on behalf of the society, the Coordinator of the group, Senior Apostle Faturoti thanked the traditional ruler for his warm welcome and acceptance of the society in Ijebu-Jesa.
He noted that the Kabiyesi has shown great respect for God and His work.
According to him, the society had its first meeting in Ijebu-Jesa in 2012. He further eulogised the Anglican Bishop of Ijesa North Diocese, Bishop (Dr) Isaac Iwabiolorun Oluyamo whom he noted has gifted the society a parcel of land in Ijebu-Jesa.
