Man To Spend 3 Months In Jail For Stealing Phone

A Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo on Tuesday, convicted and sentenced a 46-year-old man, Sikiru Ajani to three months imprisonment for stealing Gionner phone valued at N55, 000.
Presiding Magistrate, Mr O T Badmus sentenced Ajani base on self admmitance.
The convict was docked on Tuesday on two count charge bearing on stealing which he pleaded guilty.
Presenting the fact of the case, Inspector Joshua Oladoye, police prosecutor, said the convict committed the offence on December 12, 2017 at about 1pm in Osogbo.
He said the convict stolen one Ginneeo Mobil phone at valued 55,000.
According to him the phone belongs to Tosin Agunbiade.
Prosecutor also said the convict carted away with cash sum of 120,000.
The alleged offence according to Prosecutor was contrary to and punishable under section 516 under section 390 (9) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume 11.Laws of Osun State 2002.
The Convict pleaded guilty to the two count charge.
Handling down his ruling, the presiding Magistrate discharged the accused on count one and convicted him on count two.
He sentenced him to three months imprisonment or to pay a fine of N10, 000
