Osun 2018: Omoworare Joins Guber Race, Promises Economic Growth, Human Capacity Devt

The Senator representing Osun East, Babajide Omoworare, on Wednesday, joined other 28 aspirants jostling for the governorship ticket under the canopy of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun state.
Omoworare visited APC Secretariat, Osogbo with thousands of his supporters to declared his intention to run for the governorship seat of the State.
At the event organised to receive him, the Senator told the party executives and members at the gathering that he has come to intimate the party of his intention to become the next governor of the State, reeling out his programmes and policies to take the state to the next level.
Omoworare who boasted that he possessed everything required to govern the state said he stands tall among the aspirants.
He promised to give priority to security, health and education if elected Governor of the state come September 22 this year.
According to Omoworare, all requirements in terms of education and exposure, have made him the best choice to get the party’s ticket.
He promised to make judicious use of the available resources in the state to govern with less dependence on the federal allocation.
The two term Senator said he would increase the Internal Revenue without inflicting hardships on the people of the state, if elected.
According to him, “Osun Osogbo festival, Olojo of Ife and Iwude-Ijesa of Ilesa, would be planned to attract investors in the tourism sector.
The aspirant emphasised the place of quality infrastructural foundation for development of the state. He said, “we must appreciate infrastructural foundation laid by the outgoing administration, we must improve on it and maximise same to grow the economy”.
“Small and medium scale enterprises, cottage industries, technological hubs, farm settlements and a host of other initiatives to create employment, wealth and economic prosperity for the peopl will be given priority. He said.
“I am equipped with requisite education, experience and exposure to lead the state to greater heights for the benefit of all and sundry.”
“I am a bona-fide and loyal member of this party, I have been a consistent progressive politician with commitment and dedication to the progressive tradition of our party. I am am educated, experienced and exposed to global trend of good governance and this shall be fully deployed to run the state. Omoworare said.
Responding, the state party chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun described Omoworare ab a humble, cerebral, dedicated and loyal party man.
According to him, “Omoworare has been a quality representative, his impacts are seen, he has been dedicated to the progressive ideals of the party and eminently qualified to run. I wish him well in this endeavour. Famodun said.
