Ayefele’s Music House Demolition: PMAN Tackles Gov Ajimobi
The President Of the Renowned Performing Musicians Employers’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN), has described as inhuman and unjust the recent demolition of Musical house, owned by popular musician, Yinka Ayefele.
PMAN in a press release singed by its National President, Dr.Gbenga Falope Jnr. and made availeble to CityMirrorNews on Monday in Osohbo, condemned the action of Oyo state government les by Governor Isiaka Ajimobi
According to the statement, “demolition of Yinka Ayefele’s Music House in Ibadan by the Ajimobi led Oyo state Government is indeed inhuman and unjust no matter the volume of offence, there could have been a better way to handle it rather than putting the young man who has indeed contributed immensely to the growth of music and the entertainment industry at large in such delusion.”
“This wicked act is unacceptable, and we condem it in totality.
“Be that as it may, the PMAN President urges Oyo State Government to compensate Ayefele with immediate effect to get him back on track such that he could continue with his good job of taking talented youths off the street via his vast initiative that has contributed a lot to nation building especially in the world of arts.”
The President further Stated that Nigerian Musicians should come out en mass to protest against this injustice done to one of their own.
“Yinka Ayefele a fellow comrade in the musical clique of Nigeria, a man whose life has been a motivating factor to many physically challenged Nigerians both young and old, in most cases, his life also has been a pleasant, soothing motivational dose to the able bodied Nigerians, has been bamboozled by the constituted powers that be.”
“One of the most painful experience of life, is to watch with helpless gaze as one’s life legacy is been destroyed by the powers that be in the land.”
“Sociologically speaking, the Music House and Fresh FM Radio Station has helped so much in keeping the society happy with her various human friendly programs and musical blasts.”
“Economically, the Ayefele institution has contributed immensely to the financial growth of its total work force, thereby alleviating poverty in the lives of the employees and their dependants. Knowing fully well that unemployment rate is high in Nigeria, Oyo State Government ought to have given the demolition a second thought.”
