27 APC Chieftains Battle For Osun State Governor’s Seat In 2018 (See Full List)

Not less than twenty seven chieftains of the Osun State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC), are jostling for the party’s ticket for the 2018 governorship election.

A Cross Session of Aspirants On the platform of APC

All the 27 aspirants contesting on the platform of APC were all present at the party secretariat.

Declaring the lifting of ban on the ticket for the aspirants, the Chairman of the party, Prince Gboyega Famodun said the aspirants are now free to begin their consultation and make their intention open.

He read the party rules and guidelines for the aspirants, charging them to unite and win the election for the party.

He urged them to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner and contest the election keenly without crisis.

Speaking on behalf of all the 27 aspirants that have shown interest, the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Najeem Salaam, urged the party to give all aspirants level playing ground.

He assured that they would support whoever emerged as party candidate during the primary, praying that APC would win the September 22 governorship election.

Speaking with news men at his campaign office beside First Bank, Fakunle Area, Osogbo, shortly after the meeting, Salaam debunked rumour on the alleged forces please persuading him to step down.

He said he was not under threat to step down for anybody, saying “as speaker of the House of Assembly for almost 8 years, I’m qualified than any other aspirants.

“Nobody can prevail on me to step down for anybody. I’m qualified than any other aspirants. I know how to manage the economy of the state with my experience.
