Police Storm Delta Hotel, Nab Fed Prisons Staff, 6 Others For Kidnapping
6 Notorious Cultists Also In Custody – Commissioner Mustafa
Operatives of the Special Anti-Kidnapping and Cyber Crime Squad, SAKCCS, Delta State Command, have arrested a Senior Prisons Assistant at the Federal Prisons, Okere, near Warri and six other suspects for alleged kidnapping.

Commissioner of Police in the state, Muhammad Mustafa, who confirmed the story, said detectives stormed a hotel in Warri (names withheld), where they arrested the suspects in connection with the abduction of Okeme Benedicta Eseoghene at Ogbueke Square, Asaba, on May 22 and other kidnap cases within Warri/Ughelli/Sapele and environs.
Mustafa disclosed that, “Acting on available intelligence before SAKCCS disposal, a team of SAKCCS operatives led by an Inspector, stormed the said hotel at Ginuwa Road, Warri, at about 1230 hours, where the following persons were arrested in connection to the crime.”
Among them were a 32-years supposedly inmate of Federal Prisons, Okere, Warri, Stanley; 31-year –old Henry, aka Walter of Usiffurun community, Udu local government area, 42-years Amos of Omovore-Agbbarho, Ughelli North local government area; 32-years Ediri, aka Obualle of Enerhen Road, Warri, 33 -year-old Ikoyo, aka Papuski of Afiesere community and the youngest of them, 22-years Edore of Aunty Rose Stret, Off Airport Road, Warri.
Meanwhile, a police patrol team at Ughelli has rounded up six suspected notorious cultists, who reportedly converged at Osia Street, Ughelli.
Commissioner Mustafa said “Information was received that cult members were gathering at Osia Street, Ughelli. Patrol team immediately stormed the area and the following cultists were arrested: one 22 years Ogho of Edjekota, Ughelli, Precious, 18 years, Ogenewegba, 20 years, Emmanuel, Chukwu and Jonah, all 19 years respectively of Egor Street, Ughelli.
He said the collaboration and synergy between the police and other security agencies within the state and active support of the state government, stakeholders and the good people of Delta state “is yielding results as revealed by our crime statistics.”
The commissioner also said that Safer Highways teams, Dragon teams and other tactical operation points on fixed routes have stepped up their operations as confidence building measures for law abiding motoring public, adding: “We will continue the fight against crimes and criminality.”
