Free Meal: Osun Govt Begins Distribution Of Beverages To Public School Pupils
Government of the State of Osun has concluded arrangements to complement School feeding in the State with free fruit juice to each of the pupils in the State.
This is in addition to free meals being served the pupils in all Public Elementary Schools in the State.
The State Programme Facilitator, Osun Elementary School Feeding and Health Programme, Mrs Olubunmi Ayoola disclosed this while addressing Secretaries, Local Government Education Authorities at a meeting held at Anthony Udofia Elementary School, Osogbo.
Mrs Ayoola said the governor has graciously approved the proposal to give free fruit juice to each of the pupils in all Public Elementary Schools in the State in addition to the free meals provided by the Federal Government.
She said every Friday, pupils would be served with fruit juice in addition to free meals.
She therefore commended the governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for his generosity towards the school pupils and his passion for uplifting the educational system in the State.
Mrs Ayoola then called on the parents and guardians to justify the government gesture by paying their taxes and other levies to the government coffer.
