Aregbesola Bags Nuj Award of Excellence In Unprecedented Infrastructural Development

The effort of Governor Rauf Aregbesola to transform the State of Osun to an Eldorado through massive infrastructure development has received fresh accolade from reputable members of the Forth Estate of the Realm, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

The State of Osun Council of the NUJ, with the approval of the National Secretariat of the union, has conferred the Distinguished Award of Excellence in Unprecedented Infrastructural Development on Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

It is noteworthy that the NUJ Award is coming few weeks after the Nigerian Society of Engineers acknowledged and lauded Governor Aregbesola on his infrastructure development drive in the state. Several professional bodies had also commended Aregbesola for his giant stride in the state.

We are not surprise that a highly regarded NUJ is applauding the governor. Aregbesola’s track records in the last seven years and uncommon display of exemplary leadership qualities which reflect in “The New Face of Osun” and apparent display of love and affection to the people of the state in particular have endeared him to the young and the old. No doubt, Aregbesola is leaving an enduring legacy!

The unprecedented number of Flyovers and quality of road network that the trail blazer Aregbesola has constructed, state of the art and well-equipped Modern Schools with free lunch being given to pupils in elementary school and un-quantified efforts to make Osun self-sustaining and industrial hub are part of the reasons why Ogbeni Aregbesola earned the award.

Quoting the NUJ, “You are a Governor with uncommon candour. You have no doubt raised the bar of governance not only in the state of Osun but the country as a whole. You are a worthy ambassador and shining example to human race that the younger generation looks up to.” This is a complimentary statement that extols Aregbesola’s virtues in spite of the shenanigans from the members of the opposition.

The award would be presented to Mr Governor on April 19^th, 2018 at Atlantis Event Centre, West Bye Pass, Osogbo at 5pm.
