Ojo Williams, Bade Falade Are Serial Election Losers,Their Decamping Is Meaningless- Osun PDP
The Osun state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party has described the Zonal Legal adviser of the party, Otunba Sunday Ojo Williams and a few other persons who announced their exit from the party today as a set of serial election losers and political lepers who have since lost touch with the political realities in their various constituencies.
A statement issued by the State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Hon Sunday Bisi explained that the decampees were people of no electoral value who have consistently failed to deliver their polling units, wards, and local government to the PDP in more than ten years.
The party recalled that Otunba Sunday Ojo Williams has neither delivered his polling unit nor Imesi-Ile ward to the PDP since 2007 while Hon. Bade Falade is noted as a serial loser of his Ward 2 in Ejigbo local government since he joined the party. “Even when Falade was a candidate of the party for the House of Representatives in 2011, he lost his ward with a margin of over 2000 votes. Is that a politician worth of serious attention?”
” In the Governorship election that held when Ojo Williams was still a Local Government chairman in 2007, PDP lost in his polling unit with over 200 votes. The same thing happened in the 2015 elections where his mentor Otunba Iyiola Omisore was the candidate. In fact the margin of loss occasioned by his total lack of acceptability almost doubled in that election. While the APC had 796 votes in that election, Barrister Ojo Williams could only garner 483 votes for his party. Most of the electorate in that community said it was not a vote against the PDP but against the person of the former Local Government chairman”
“These are the set of people who have held public offices on the platform of the PDP because other people worked hard to deliver their own electoral constituencies and pay for the massive deficits brought in by the decamping politicians.”
“The truth is that these people are ingrates and have no shred of Electoral value or public goodwill to affect the PDP negatively in the state.
“What the general public should know is that these elements are leaving the party because the new National leadership has announced that the era of impunity was over in PDP. They lost elections and couldn’t stomach the shame. That is the fate of lazy politicians who do not understand that hard work pays better than reliance on god-fathers in modern politics. The good news that should be noted is that as these individuals announced their decision to quit the PDP, hundreds of politicians from the APC in those areas are ready to move in because they were the main reasons why the party wasn’t popularly accepted in those areas before now.”
The PDP in Osun state continues to position itself as the only viable alternative to the misrule of the APC. We will not be deterred in this task of winning the next elections with the help of God and the goodwill of the electorate.
