Obaship tussle: Irate Youths Set Edunabon Palace Ablaze
There was a pandemonium in the ancient town of Edunabon, Ife North West Local Council Development area of Osun state as the palace of the kingdom was set ablaze by some irate youths in protest against the prince selected by the state government.
The unfortunate development was linked to the tussle rocking the selection of a new Salu of Edunabon.
Two princes from the same royal family had emerged and had entered seclusion in order to be able to assume the throne of the kingdom.
The government had approved the selection of Prince Kehinde Olapade before the kingmakers asked him to proceed to seclusion for the enthronement rites
But some of the youths of the community have rejected the choice of Olapade. They staged a protest on Wednesday and set the palace of Salu of Edunabon ablaze.
