Aregbesola’s Exit From Office: Oranmiyan Organises Prayer For Governor’s Valediction

As it remains eight days before the expiration of Governor Rauf Aregbeeola’ administration, a sociopolitical organization, ” The Oranmiyan Group” is planning to organise a special prayer to bid the outgoing governor well in his next phase of life and responsibilities.

The group in a press statement signed by its spokesman, Mr Olajide Sadiq hinted that the valedictory prayer is being organized to seek the protection of God over the Governor and his elevation unto the higher responsibilities.

The valedictory prayer tagged ” Isipopada si ibi giga( Elevation of our Mentor, Principal, Grand Patron and Oranmiyan Symbol, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola into higher responsibilities)” according to Olajide, would be offered and led by reputable Islamic scholars and renowned pastors in the state, with thousands of residents in attendance.

Sadiq further explained that Aregbesola, who is also the Grand patron of Oranmiyan Group, needed prayers not only for higher levels, but for divine guidance in his future endeavors.

He said the Thanksgiving prayer which is scheduled to hold on Nov. 22 would take place at the Oranmiyan House, Osogbo by 2:00 pm.

Sadiq said the group decided to organise the prayers for the Governor based on their realisation of the need for citizens to continually pray for their leaders.

According to him, the state has undergone positive changes under Aregbesola’s leadership.

He said going by the tremendous achievements of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbsola in the last eight years, it become imperative for them to pray for him to transcend to a higher level.

Describing the outgoing governor as an embodiment of ideas, Sadiq said Aregbesola’s developmental projects cut across every nooks and crannies of the state.

He said, it was incumbent upon every citizens of Osun to pray for Governor Aregbesola because there is no family in the state that has not been positively affected by Aregbesola monumental programmes.

Sadiq highlighted the outgoing governor’s programme to include; Oyes (which employed over 40,000 youths), free meals for pupils, O’amblance, monthly stipends for the aged, construction of roads, building of mega schools, among other laudable programmes.

He therefore charged the invited clerics and guests to come on time so as to be able to finish the programme as planned and on time.
