Saraki Storms Ibadan, Woos PDP Delegates

Chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in their thousands besieged the Oyo State party Secretariat on Tuesday to receive the Senate President,Dr.Bukola Saraki who was in Ibadan to rally support for the party’s primary coming up very soon.
Women in their hundreds danced excitedly to receive the August visitor who they believed would undoubtedly bless them for their solidarity.
Despite the lateness of the Senate President to the Secretariat as he arrived four hours late,the hosts tolerated his lateness and few who could not because of bad weather
Addressing his party delegates,he told him that though he was a bridge builder being from North Central he is a Yoruba man by name and parentage.
He disclosed that his grandmother was from Iseyin in the Oke Ogun area of Oyo State pointing out that he was eminently qualified to get the support of all Yoruba speaking party chiefs.
The aspirant declared that he is computer compliant stressing that age is also on his side to preside successfully on the affairs of the country currently facing many challenges.
Speaking earlier,Alhaji Atahiru Bafarawa also a Presidential aspirant who came about two hours before Saraki thanked the Party men for their good turn out advising them to see him as the most suitable aspirant to be supported during the primary.
The former governor of Sokoto state said that he was not going to the public office to loot but to serve the good people of Nigeria pointing out that he was a successful business man.
Bafarawa disclosed that while he was in the saddle as the Sokoto state as Governor for eight years ,he did not collect a dime as salary as he directed that his salary should be paid to Utman DanFodyo
