Ondo ADP Criticises Akeredolu Over AAUA Fees

Following the recent increment of tuition fees of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko by the state governor, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Ondo state has said that the step was to play pranks with the plights of the common citizens in the state.
In a Press statement issued and signed by the state Chairman, Prince Stephen Adegbuyi Adesida which was made available to CityMirrorNews in Akure said the governor is handling the matters with levity.
He said, “Imagine the incessant increase in tuition fee of AAUA students without considering the poor condition of their parents and also charging an unimaginable on the pregnant women, who were once enjoying free medical attention during his predecessor”.
He urged Akeredolu to be weary of his actions on the people and apologize to the parents arrested during the protest by the police.
“We don’t even know if Akeredolu is operating a military government where you can not say no to whatever he says, he should also be reminded that many of them that enjoyed free education during their time would not have been nobody if not for the opportunity” Adesida said.
The party chairman therefore support the reverse of the tuition fees and that increment should not come at this hard time, which the APC government has plunged everyone.
