Nigerians React To Senate Crisis, Snatching Of Mace By Omo-Agege, Thugs
Nigerians on social media have reacted to the Tuesday attack on the Senate by suspected thugs allegedly mobilised by senator representing Delta South senatorial district, Ovie Omo-Agege, where the mace was snatched.
The Thugs invaded the red chambers on Wednesday and forcefully took away the mace.
They broke into the chambers when plenary was going on, thereby creating serious confusion and tension.
Nigerians have, however, taken to the social media to express their diverse views.
This is the collation of how Nigerians received the news…
@willhaynie “Our state senate gives lip service to the freedoms and de-centralized government afforded by home rule, then snatches it away from us when we do something they don’t like. Coastal municipalities have unique issues and responsibilities.”
@Krisamissy, “We are just mad in the country, we like stupid drama”
@Belatucadros_”If he snatches Trump and Pence, he’s best to do it after 2018 elections. Then we’ll have democrats in the House and Senate to step in as President and Vice President…”
@dnahealthnut “It is one of my fondest wishes that Joe Kennedy III runs for her Senate seat and snatches it away from her.”
@CBS6 “Sen. Mark Warner narrowly snatches victory in Va. US Senate race.”
@Buhari“What would be David Mark’s fate, as APC snatches Senate majority after PDP’s”
@3rdeye03, “I mean the treasonous act was perpetrated by ‘Niger-Deltans? And you equally think that is the best way you can show your displeasure? This will boomerang! You have just lost your ground of ‘justice’ because stealing the mace was gross.”
@mali_stones, “You have disgraced and embarrassed us as a country and God will surely see to it that you answer for your sins. This is the height of your incompetence and unworthiness of whatever Nigerians have given you to enjoy. SHAME ON Y’ALL.”
@paskael, “We are expecting the service chiefs who have been recommended for sack by NASS to Immediately arrest the hoodlums and the Mastermind of this dastardly ACT. The IGP is expected to relocate to NASS until tension is curbed.”
@sunbebe1, “Nothing dey happen, this is the result of injustice. @bukolasaraki a PDP senator in disguise with his cabals are behaving like double senators. Saraki and supporters are untouchable and keep suspending anyone that has a different view from his and subduing other senators.”
@mukadafe, “Bukola Saraki led National Assembly is a shame, this is to tell you we owns Nigeria together, the election that brought you from your constituency also brought Senator Ovie Omo Agege,we are Uhrobo not zombies, enough is enough.”
