Ajimobi said that he wondered why some Muslims including Kunle Sanni alleged that he is not a good Muslim adding that he proved them wrong some years ago when he went on a pilgrimage to Mecca.

“In Mecca, it became extremely difficult to enter Kabbah.I lined up like others including Kunle Sanni when a man just beckoned to me among the crowd asking me to come out of an army of pilgrims. It was the anointing in me that made the official called me.I told Alhaji Sanni later that the occasion was a proof that I am a better and stronger Muslim than him, he said.

He also disclosed that he would have made a good donation to the building project but he was afraid of EFCC which might arrest him because he is still owing workers salaries adding that he would donate Five Million Naira to the launch on behalf of the government and Ten Mllion Naira from himself because of his passion for Islam.

In their addresses, the Emir of Kano Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi appealed for religious tolerance and peace in the country adding that anybody killing in the name of propagating Islam is a criminal.

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar told Isamic adherents to refrain from using violent language in the course of their preaching stressing that no reasonable and devout Muslim should be linked with violence no matter any provocation.

He commended Governor Ajimobi for encouraging the development and growth of Islam in the State adding that he should keep up the spirit.

Many other Islamic leaders in the Southwest who were present at the anniversary celebration made good donations to the launch of Five Billion Naira Muswen International Centre.
