The Standard Of Our Roads Cannot Be Compared To Any Road In Nigeria- Aregbesola

The outgoing Governor of Osun state, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has boasted that the quality of roads executed by his administration are unprecedented in Nigeria

He said the roads constructed in Osun in terms of quality and network have proved to be the best in the country.

Aregbesola noted that all the roads constructed and commissioned in the state would last for 50 years saying he has done well in the area of infrastructures.

The governor disclosed this at the last edition of his interactive programme tagged Ogbeni Till Day Break.

He said he has worked tremendously in securing a better future for the state through the provision of developmental projects.

The governor whose his administration ends on September 27, this year stated that no road in the country shares common quality in terms of materials used by the state for the construction of the roads.

He attributed the presence of infrastructural facilities being put in place by his administration despite the meagre resources as a manifestation of his passion for good governance.

He said there is no doubt that the state under his watch has distinguished itself in maintaining and sustaining international best standard in road construction and rehabilitation.

He said the state had laid a good foundation for quality in public services as this was reflected in the implementation of its socio-economic policies and programmes.

“The standard of our roads cannot be compared to any road in Nigeria. There is no part of the state that has not benefited from the roads we constructed.”

“My successor , Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola would continue where I stop, government is about continuity , we have done our best , my successor would continue and that is why we do everything to ensure he emerged “
