PDP Chieftain, Olaniyan Cautions PMB On Those Prevailing On Him To Recontest, Warning Him To Ignore Them

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo state,Engr Abiola Olaniyan has cautioned President Muhammadu Buhari over the desperation of his ministers and lieutenants who are prevailing on him to recontest for second term pointing out  that his present tenure is bedevilled with many unresolved challenges.

“The President should realise the fact that many of them wanted to use him as spring board to remain perpetually in power in order to satisfy their selfish ends,Olaniyan said while speaking with news men in Ibadan on the state of the nation

Olaniyan who is aspiring to represent Oyo Central at the Senate come 2019 pointed out that it was not morally right for President Buhari to pretend not to know that some of his men have started campaigning for him in deviance of electoral Act.

“Those who are in the forefront of Buhari must contest again so much engage him with second term issue when he was unexpected to checkmate the criminal activities of Fulani herders who are killing innocent farmers on their land.The situation in Benue state and other States which Fulani are trying to colonize in in the 21st century is a minus for his government,Olaniyan pointed out. .

“Are we in Hobesia state  where life is meaningless.Are the Fulani Herders untouchables and has the immunity to carry arms to massacre people on their land without prompt action from those elected to protect lives and property? Any yet the selfish APC leaders thought what they should be engaged with now is “persuading Buhari to recontest? the politician asked’

He said that the belated action of the APC was unfortunate adding “We should condemn  this inaction.This issue of insecurity should be holistically addressed rather than some desperate aspirants gallivanting about talking on Buhari recontesting.

Olaniyan  said that instead of admitting the failures of APC government which refused to pay workers salaries at the Federal and state levels,fingers were being pointed at PDP past administration stressing “to the credit of our old sage, Chief Obafemi Aeolowo when he was in power in Western region,the welfare of the workers was given priority”

The Sematorial aspirant  pointed out that despite the paris refund and bail out fund made available to state governors,”many of them diverted the money to settle contractors from who they allegedly take kickbacks leaving the workers to  suffer.Is this the change they wanted to effect?

Olaniyan called on the residents of Oyo State to shine their eyes and resist the temptations of falling victims of political deceivers who were bent on bribing them for the realisation of their selfish  motives adding that to ignore his counsel would amount to ugly and frustrating situations repeating themselves
