Lagos Welcomes Aregbesola In Grand Style

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and Lagos progressives’ family, at the weekend, welcomed the immediate past Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to his Lagos political base, after the completion of his tenure as governor.

The former governor was greeted by billboards bearing different messages as he returned to his Lagos political base.

Prominent among these were, “We Welcome Oranmiyan,” “Welcome Back Home Oranmiyan,” “We supporters and political admirers of Ogbeni Aregbesola welcome back Our Leader and Political Mentor to Lagos, The State where He Began His Political Journey.”

Even in his Ilesa hometown, women, men and children waited anxiously for his arrival, where he celebrated with his kin before heading to Lagos.

On his arrival to Lagos, Aregbesola and his wife, Sherifat in company of friends and associates proceeded to the Bourdillon residence of the APC National Leader and his mentor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, where they were received by Tinubu’s wife, Oluremi.

He used the occasion to express gratitude to Asiwaju for his support over the years, especially in backing his ambition to become governor.
