Breaking: Senate Passes 2018 Budget
The Nigerian Senate has just passed the 2018 Appropriation Bill into law.
A total of 9,120,334,988,225 was passed after the third reading today. The budget was increased by the National Assembly from 8.2 trillion naira submitted to 9.1 trillion.
President Muhammad Buhari submitted the budget estimate on November 7, 2017. This was the longest time the budget estimates have stayed with the National Assembly since 1999.
