Eid el Mubarak!SRJ Calls For Reflection, Piety And Tolerance, As 1439 Ramadan Ends
As muslims the world over celebrate the end of the 1439 AH Ramadan season, they have been urged to remain pious and be tolerant to all men.
With the season over, there is also the need for them to reflect on the lessons of Ramadan which epitomizes the traits expected of a good believer in the word of Allah and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad to become better people.
The Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General in the State of Osun, Dr Ajibola Basiru stated this in his Eid-El-Fitr message.
The legal practitioner noted the importance of piety, engaging in good deeds as well as strict adherence to the Sunnah as basic ideals which must not be left undone after the Holy Month.
Basiru urged them to be their brother’s keeper always and remain steadfast to the propagation of the religion of Allah.
He however reminded of the need to support the state government of Osun and the APC especially as the governorship election draws nearer as the party is ready to continue the good governance enjoyed under Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
The Attorney General also cautioned the people of the state to shun violence before, during and after the September 22 election.
