Omisore, Entire PDP Stalwarts Lack Moral Integrity, Political Justification To Fault Aregbesola’s Govt – Okanlawon
The war of words between Osun State Governor Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and the former Deputy Governor of the state, Senator Iyiola Omisore over the performance of the All Progressives Congress under Governor Aregbesola took another dimension as there were allegations and counter allegations by the two parties.
The two parties on Friday featured on a radio program “Frank talk ” hosted by Femi Olanipekun on Rave FM in Osogbo.
Senator Omisore who was represented by Mr Ojo Williams accused Aregbesola of mortgaging the future of Osun State by borrowing an exorbitant amount of money without anything to show for it.
He noted that Former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola also borrowed money to pay workers’ salary but not at the expense of the state.
Responding swiftly in support of Governor Aregbesola, the Media Aide to Osun State Governor, Mr Semiu Okanlawon said Omisore, the entire Peoples Democratic Party PDP stalwarts and loyalists lack moral integrity and political justification to fault Aregbesola’s government.
Okanlawon noted that PDP’s seven and half years in Osun State are nothing but a waste as no achievement was recorded by it.
He affirmed that Aregbesola deserves kudos because he had used unprecedented means to catalyse Osun economy.
The media aide said PDP and its loyalists are only gifted not to see good things but accusations asking “if PDP accuses us of grandeurs projects, ask its members what they do while in govt for 16 years in Nigeria and 7 and a half years in Osun”.
According to him: “PDP and its loyalists are gifted not to see good things”.
PDP seven and a half rule in Osun was a complete waste.
“Aregbesola deserves kudos because he had used unprecedented means to catalyse Osun economy”.
Okanlawon submitted that PDP can never fool the collective psyches of Osun people under the guise of 500 billion loan allegations saying “I wonder how such loan will be granted to a state like Osun”.
“We didn’t borrow such gargantuan funds as being alleged”
“We inherited all loans granted Osun since its creation, and even at that, Osun didn’t owe such mischievous loan as being accused by the opposition”.
“The voice of the people is the voice of God. We know what we represent in the psyches of the people of Osun and we know what PDP represents in the psyches of the people Osun, so, the time will judge”.
