Nigerians Attack Saraki Over Shared Umrah Photos
Many Nigerians have accused senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki of hypocrisy and use of religion to cover up his many malfeasance.
The Senate President had shared photos of his lesser Hajj in Saudi Arabia where he also informed that he just completed the lesser hajj (umrah) rites.
But rather than get commendations or prayers, majority of online responders have attacked Saraki listing what they consider to be his corrupt practices that belie his claims to any religiosity.
“Alhamdulilah Robil al-amin. I just completed the Umrah rites in the Holy Mosque. May the Almighty Allah (SWT) accept our prayers. Amin.” Saraki had said on his Twitter handle.
One of the commentators indeed prayed that God will not accept his prayers to show anger against the senate president.
Saraki has been enmeshed in various allegations bordering on corruption and other behaviors.
The high point of allegations against him came with the confessional statements of suspected arrested in connection with the recent deadly armed robbery in Offa Kwara State where he was fingered as a major backer for some of the suspected criminals.
Two days ago, another petition against Saraki over an unpaid loan to the time of N11bn borrowed from the Defunct Intercontinental Bank Plc has led to another invitation by the Special Fraud Unit of the Nigerian Police.
On both twitter and Instagram, those who have commented have expressed distaste for the Senate President Over his involvement in various deals.
