Alhaji Ajetunmonbi Emerges Chairman Of Ilorin West APC

The APC delegates at the Ilorin West local government has elected Alhaji Ajetunmobi as the party chairman during the Local Government congress which took place on Saturday, 12th May, 2018.

The APC local government congress for Ilorin West was conducted at Pacific Hotel, Odota, Ilorin amidst funfair.

Our correspondent reports that delegates from 12 wards across the local government participated in the congress.

All the local government party officials were elected unopposed. The Ward executives were also confirmed at the congress.

Official of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was on ground to monitor the congress.

The three-man congress committee led Alhaji Bakie conducted the congress. Alhaji Bakie while speaking with journalists said the party at the national level empowered them to conduct the Congress in compliance with party’s guidelines.

All the elected party executives will serve four-year term in line with APC constitution.

The newly elected APC chairman in Ilorin West while giving his vote of thanks, commended the leaders and members for supporting him.

Alhaji Ajetunmobi urged party members to intensify mobilization efforts ahead of 2019 general elections.

Ilorin West Local Government is the largest council in Kwara State and base of prominent APC Leaders like the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Hon. Moshood Mustapha, and Sen. Gbemisola Saraki amongst others.
