Filmmaker, Korede Olayinka Produces New Film ‘The Subway’ To Sensitise Against Domestic Violence

Poised to rid the society of rising domestic violence, a young filmmaker, Korede Olayinka has produced a short film titles: “The Subway.”

The film, which he said is not for profit was made by group of young volunteers and supporters and it aimed at sensitising people against the deadly act of domestic violence.

According to Korede, who wrote and directed the film, it tells a story of a young, Omolola who embattles series of challenges most especially physical and mental abuse by her husband,  Olusola.

Omolola was encouraged to stay in the relationship by her mother and at the end of everything, all parties involved get something to lose.

While bemoaning the spate of domestic violence in the country, the fast rising filmmaker appreciated those qo volunteered to take up roles in the film. He therefore vowed to do whatever is in his power to put an end to domestic violence.

Speaking with our correspondent, Korede said “I produced this not-for-profit short film titled “The Subway” to sensitize people against the deadly act called  DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. The film made by group of volunteers and supporters tells a story of a young lady, Omolola who embattled series of challenges most especially physical and mental abuse by her husband,  Olusola. She was encouraged to stay in the relationship by her mother, at the end of everything, all parties involved get something to lose.

“The film was produced by a great freelance producer, Tumilara Oladimeji but written and rirected by me, Korede Olayinka. The volunteers in the film include Femi Johnson, Tosin Olayode, Ameerat Akorede, Oluwatosin Opalola, Sampraise, Victoria Anu Taiwo, Tobi Olayinka and Damilare Olayinka.
