Osun 2018: Twisting Tinubu’s Words Will Not Earn You Victory At The Poll, AGF Tells Oppositions

A sociological organization in Osun state, Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation, AGF has condemned in totality the efforts of the opposition parties and other mischief makers on twisting every statements made by its Principal; Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to look as if he is against Osun people.

AGF warned that such desperate moves will not earn them victory at the poll, rather it will be robbing them off of their little space in the political scene.

In a statement released issued in by AGF Campaign Team for Oyetola, ACTO and signed by its Chairman; Comrade Adeboye Adebayo and Secretary Comrade Tijani Sikiru, the foundation expressed shock and surprise at what it described as mischievous actions of the oppositions parties by twisting the statements of Tunubu during his visit to Ataoja of Osogbo; Oba Jimoh Olanipekun in his palace.

Tinubu had last on Saturday during his visit to the palace assured the Kabiyesi that Oyetola is an upright man and a seasoned administrator with high sense of financial and fiscal responsibilities, saying he is in the race to raise the bar of governance from where Aregbesola would have left it.

Tinubu noted that if making money is the target of Gboyega Oyetola, he would have remained in Lagos with his flourishing business but because of service to the people of Osun, he had to be in the race, saying the financial purse of the state is so lean that somebody with his experience can only be of help and that Oyetola has no intention to embezzle Osun money which is not there in the first place.

However, the opposition parties twist the passionate words of Asiwaju negatively as if he is against the people.

But AGF urged the opposition to have a rethink as this propaganda of words twisting is already working against them among the people.

He called on them to tell the electorate what their manifestoes are and how they intend to surpass Aregbesola’s achievements with their heads blocked, but full of lies, propaganda and abuses with NO iota of workable plans or agenda for the people.

The AGF thereafter urged the people of the state, especially the electorate to continue mobilising, praying and supporting Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and cast their votes massively for him on the 22nd September, 2018 so as to continue to enjoy the good governance and massive dividends of democracy, Adebayo concluded.
