Suspected Killer Of Ex-Ondo Deputy Governor’s Daughter Arrested

Ondo state Police command has arrested Adeyemi Alao, suspected to be the killer of the daughter of former Deputy Governor of the state, Miss Adenike Oluboyo.

Adenike, daughter of Lasisi Oluboyo who was the Deputy Governor of the
state in the administration of former Governor Olusegun Mimiko between
2016 and 2018 was found dead in the residence of Alao on Sunday.

It was speculated that Adenike had died almost six days before her corpse was found inside the room of Alao who was said to be her boyfriend.

It was learnt that Alao had made attempts to bury the corpse of
Adenike in his house at Oke-Aro area of Akure having dug a grave in
the room, before he was eventually caught.

It was gathered that Adenike, a 20 year old final year student of the
Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko was fond of visiting his
ex lover and most times passed the night with him.

There were speculations that the suspected killer was of dubious character who planned to use her late girl friend for rituals.

Confirming the arrest of Alao in a chat with newsmen in Akure the State Police
Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Femi Joseph said the suspect was arrested by a team of detectives from the
Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ondo State police command.

He said the suspect, who has been detained in police custody has
already been giving relevant information to the police on the circumstances that led to the death of Adenike.

The PPRO said the state commissioner of Police will address a press conference after they have concluded their investigations on the matter, assuring that the case would be thoroughly investigated with a view to establishing facts behind the death of the student.
