Again, Kogi Assembly Extends Tenure Of Caretaker Chairmen
For the second time in two years, the Kogi State House of Assembly has extended the tenure of caretaker committee chairmen for another six months.

Recall that on the 10th of November, 2017, the house approved the extension of their tenure to allow the State Government conduct election into the 21 local government of the state.
The new extension is sequel to a letter sent to the House by the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
Reading the letter on the floor of the House on Tuesday, the speaker, honourable Mathew Kolawole (APC Kabba Bunu) said the Governor cited paucity of funds in the state as some of the reasons why the state government could not conduct local government election.
Bello in the letter stated that the extension should take effect from 1st April to 30th September, 2018.
