Aare Ona Kakanfo: Gani Adams Arrives Oyo As Final Rites Begins

Ahead of the saturday’s coronation of  Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Otunba Gani Adams on  Wednesday resumed in Oyo for the commencement  of the traditional rites.

Adams who arrive  Oyo town around 5pm was led to the sacred place by Bishop Ayo Ladigbolu and Akogun Segun Taiwo, the chairman and secretary of the organizing committee

Speaking with Journalists who ambushed him in Oyo, the National Cordinator of the Oodua Peoples Congress said he was fully prepared  for the task

“According to him’there is nothing to worry about, this is not the first I will be performing traditional rites, its part of our  culture and anybody aspiring to hold position of authority in Yorubaland must perform it”

” I won’t miss anything while at the seclusion,  I will have more knowlegde , understanding and related history about my new position  .”

“The Chairman planning committee. Bisho Ayo Ladigbolu who recieved Gani Adams in his residence said the rite is neceasary because its part of the steps to be taken for the official coronation.”

He also hinted that they are fully prepared for the official coronation on Saturday

The Aare Ona Kakanfo is not expected to see Alaafin until Saturday when the traditional rite must have been concluded.
